What a great family! I met the Harts staying at Beavers Ski Lodge in Winter Park as a kid. As a young man he took the time to take me on several hunting trips and being without a dad in my life it was extra special. To this day I shoot left handed because Al showed me that I was left eye dominant although being right handed. I can also vividly remember shooting a 12 gauge shotgun of my grandfathers with him. Being scared to death of it, he convinced me that I could do it...and I did. I never put it down after that day. On one of those hunting trips he also taught me about something I do not like to this day....SPAM! We ate it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. What a flood of memories and emotions this mans name brings to my mind. All I can say again is what a great man and role model. I am so regretful that I lost touch with him over the years. I should have taken the time to return the gift by taking him hunting.

Mr. Hart is my all-time favorite man. He lived life the way it should be lived. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He excelled at everything. He was a sportsman, an athlete, a prankster, a friend. He had the rare ability to connect with each person he met and to make that person feel special and loved. Mr. Hart touched my life and will live in my heart forever.

Dear Alice, Kathryn and I were always so pleased to see you guys. You were always bright and cheerful and had lots of smiles to hand out. Know you miss Al as we all do. Since I am going through the same dark valley you are traveling I extend the comfort of a fellow traveler to let you know that I have been thrilled at the support and strength I gain from the thoughts and prayers of my friends. Know you are experiencing the same. Find peace in the great memories you have of the life you had with Al and accept our thanks for your years of service. Morris

My condolences to the Hart family, to Alice, and to all who were fortunate enough to have travelled the path with Al. The twinkle in Al's eye and his zest for life was infectious.
"You shall know them by their fruits." Albert Hart bore good fruit in a kind, compassionate and generous family, a testament of their extraordinary love.
May Alice be held and comforted in the love the Creator.

Al was my bonus Dad, Alice my bonus Mom. I don't expect to ever know another man so generous, fun loving, gracious---such a gentleman. I know he is skiing the beautiful cloud-like slopes in Heaven with David. My deepest sympathy to sweet Alice, Jim, Judy, Julia, Jake and precious great grandson Arthur Jones. Much love.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Albert Jones Hart our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Al. And to Al it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S. Army. Al, we commend you for your honorable service. You are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country. You were a true friend. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the 233 veterans of VFW Post 2238 in Shreveport, Louisiana, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Al's family and loved ones.

The memories of Al and Alice inviting the youth of Meadowbrook UMC and Eastern Hills HS Band into their home will always be in my mind. Peace is now his, and may he gently rest with a son that passed away far too young in life.

Al was my kindergarten teacher's husband, then he became my birthday twin, ski trip travel buddy, and my first boss. We celebrated most of our milestone birthdays together, at the Petroleum Club - I even came home from college each year because it wasn't my birthday if we didn't celebrate together. He could twirl around the dance floor like nobody's business! Al was the grandfather I never had, and I loved him dearly. I miss him already, and my thoughts, love and prayers go out first to my sweet Alice and all of the Harts. Much love, Amy

Albert Jones Hart left us for his next adventure on November 16, 2014. He was in the presence of his one and only, Alice Gatti Hart, and his devoted staff of Care Givers. He had a good run and a wonderful life. We should all be so lucky.
