Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at 1801 Malone St., Denton.
Mr. Head was born in Rochester, N.Y., on Aug. 10, 1925, and raised in Alabama. He served in combat as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
After returning home, Mr. Head married Georgia Mae Spacil of Houston on April 22, 1948 and graduated from Rice University with a bachelor and master of science in mechanical engineering.
He worked as an engineer for Ling-Tempco-Vought Corp. in Grand Prairie, where he did structural dynamic work on numerous Department of Defense projects. He retired from Vought after 47 years of exemplary service in progressively responsible positions.
Mr. Head was recognized by his family, relatives, friends, neighbors and community as an honorable, virtuous, devoted and loyal husband, father, American and Christian man. For decades he provided unwavering, volunteer service to his church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Georgia, served a full-time mission for the church in Alabama for 18 months after his retirement.
In later years, Lee’s favorite pastimes included visiting his grandchildren all over the United States and doing significant genealogical research on the computer and the internet.
He will be sorely missed in this life, but he is also rejoiced because of the sure knowledge that he has been gathered home to the bosom of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors: Wife, Georgia of Boliver; his son, Albert Lee Head III and his wife, Brenda, of Denton; his son, Greg Head of Boliver; his son, Jeff Head and his wife, Gail, of Emmett, Idaho; his son, Paul Head and his wife, Adolis, of Boliver; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lee will always be one of my mentors. As the years fly by, I see that Lee was right about so many things. He was instrumental in my quest to stop smoking and he was the leader of "Head's Herd"; some of us still walk a couple of miles at lunch. Someday I hope to catch up to Lee as he make another lap.
