Aquilla Walker Obituary

Aquilla Walker, 88, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 1, 2005.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Mayfield Missionary Baptist Church, 2102 Amanda St. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Aquilla was born Jan. 10, 1917, in Ellis County. She was a devout Christian and longtime member of Mayfield Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Gardner.

Survivors: Sons, Charles Walker and Eugene Walker (Helen); daughter, Roberta Sneed; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a niece; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs Walker is truly a treasure and will be missed dearly I will always hold her close in my heart.
