Billie Langley Obituary
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas.
Billie was born Jan. 21, 1929. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War and retired from Mosher Steel after 45 years. He was active in the Boy Scouts, having joined in 1962, until 2003. He received the Award of Merit in 1975 and the Silver Beaver Award in 1978 and helped five Boy Scouts to become Eagle Scouts.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Isaih Miles Langley and Hattie Josephine Langley, and son, Robert James Langley.
Survivors: the love of his life and his wife of 55 years, Lois; daughters, Susan Wilson of Mandeville, La., Betty Langley of Garland and Barbara and her husband, Brian Mitchell, of Gun Barrel City; grandchildren, Christy and Brian Pruitt, Holly and J.T. Anderson, Roy and Jennifer Wilson and Rhonda and Jace Mitchell; six great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bobby and wife, Ruth Ann Langley, and Harold and wife, Wynona Langley.
