Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Billy was born in McCamey on Aug. 8, 1938, to John S. and Lillie Dunavant Tinney. He graduated from McCamey High School in 1956. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1958. He met and married his wife, Mary J. Randall, on Feb. 12, 1964, and they moved to Fort Worth. His last position was with Winn-Dixie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; brothers, Leon and Cecil Tinney; and sister, Evelyn Johnson.
Survivors: Son, Billy Ray Jr.; daughter, Debra Davis; granddaughters, Amber Hipple and husband, Nicholas, Susie Davis; great-granddaughter, Alexis; sister, Anita Jo Hale and husband, Bill; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Tinney; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Billy Ray's family and friends at this difficult time of his death. He has fought a good fight and will be missed not only on a daily basis by those closest to him, but also at our Tinney family reunions.
