It was Bren's wish that her body be donated to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center through the "willed body" program. By making such commitment, Bren hoped medical science could learn more about the cancers among us.
Bren was born in Dallas Oct. 12, 1959, to Arthur G. and Faye Bauer. She graduated from Hillcrest High School. She married Richard Troth in 1984, and, as a home-building team, began to construct custom homes in Coppell.
Bren, with an eye for colors and design, became the company's interior decorator. The frequent wearing of boots and jeans reflected her easygoing personality. She also loved sports, specifically the international racquet sport of frontenis. Intrigued by the game, she became a member of the Southwest Frontenis Association and represented the United States, as a player, in international competition on three occasions.
In addition, she filled her life with camping, boating, travel and a love of animals. Yet, regardless of her many interests, Bren always made her family the first priority.
Her generous nature, along with her caring spirit, thoughtfulness and compassion will be deeply missed. A caring wife, close friend, nurturing mother, sports enthusiast and interior decorator, Bren's presence among us made our lives better.
Bren was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister, Vickie Scarbrough.
Survivors: Husband, Richard of Flower Mound; children, Michael, 13, and Taylor, 9; and brother, Darold Bauer of Coppell.

I, and my family, have had the pleasure to have shared much of our lives with Bren & Richard Troth. We have shared many experiences and trips as friends and teammates with the United States Pelota Association, and our lives have been enriched because of those times. We know that Bren is in a better place now, and we will be here for Richard and his family in their time of need.
May God be with you all.
