Bryce Spangler Obituary

Bryce Spangler, 67, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, after a courageous battle against cancer. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican Church, 3900 Morris Lane, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington. Memorials: As a true patriot and a man who never met a dog that was a stranger, memorial gifts may be made to Patriot PAWS, 254 Ranch Trail, Rockwall, Texas 75032. Bryce was born on Aug. 26, 1948, in Fort Worth to Gene and Skip Spangler. He grew up living all over the United States due to his father's Air Force career, but eventually settled back home in Fort Worth, where he graduated from Arlington Heights High School. Bryce had a longtime career in precast concrete sales, a job which he truly loved. He was an avid snow skier and loyal Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed traveling, spending time at Lake Granbury and working on weekend projects. He was a man of strong faith who loved his church where he was an usher and a member of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew. His family and friends will always remember him as an exceptionally kind and loving person, with a generous heart and beautiful smile. Survivors: Love of his life and wife of 28 years, Lesa; adored daughter, Lindsey; sister-in-law, Frana Spangler; nieces, Jennifer Neal (Chris) and Becky Grimes; nephew, Jeremy Spangler; and many extended family members and close friends.

I met Mr. Spangler at Old Castle pre-cast. He was a great man to do business with and a wonderful friend. I am sure he will be missed, one day we'll all be together again.

Bryce had such a Big Heart. He was always there when you needed him. I will miss him. Even though we did not see each other often enough I always knew he was here. He had such a contagious laugh I will always remember. He was always there when my Mom his Aunt Rita needed him and for me as well. I love you Bryce!!

Lesa you and Lindsey are in my prayers and hope you can know that I do care and love you both as well.

Bryce was a guy that was so much fun and had a wonderful sense of humor. Of course, we both loved to share a cocktail now and then but more than that he loved his family and friends. He has/had a heart the size of Texas and I feel so grateful to have counted him as a friend. Lesa and Bryce are/were perfect for each other. I remember when Lesa found out she was pregnant and she and Bryce were the happiest couple in the world. Lesa and Bryce took care of Lesa's Mom She too was awesome and knowing that both of their family's are watching over both Lesa and Lindsey I hope that gives them comfort.

I only wish I could have been blessed by Bryce's presence more often. But, when I did share time with him, I instantly clicked with his truly infectious personality. Funny, witty, giving, a wonderful cook and host. Thank you, Bryce!
