Ft. Worth, Texas - Carol Ann Beaird passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the age of 88.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite B, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; with interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Carol was born on September 14, 1937, to Robert William Coombes Jr. and Frances Steele Coombes in Fort Worth. She graduated Pascal High School in 1955, where she met Chester Beaird. They married in 1956. She lived in Fort Worth her entire life except for the one year that she and Chester, moved to Mississippi for work. The couple returned to Fort Worth and bought a ranch near Cisco, where they raised cattle for several years.
Carol was dedicated mother to her two sons, Bobby and Jimmy, where she participated in many activities for them such as bowling and horseback riding.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert William Coombes Jr. and Frances Steele Coombes; and husband of 45 years, Chester Beaird.
Carol is survived by sons, Bobby and Jimmy Beaird; brother, William "Bill" Coombes and wife, Linda; sister, Cherie Jo Patenaude and husband, Steve; and close cousins, Glenn and Diane McNew.
