Charlies, Amy, Evan and Julie...today is August 19 and this is the first I have heard of Callie's passing from good ole Crowley to her new glorious home in heaven.
My family and I send our deepest sypathies to you and all your family.
It seems like only yesterday that we made that Camp Fire trip to Austin to meet the Governor....but that was years ago.
It seems like only yesterday we traveled to RPA every summer day to swim....but that was years ago.
It seems like only yesterday that we went to climb Mount Loma at ET...but that was years ago.
It seems like only yesterday we watched as our cub scouts made wooden race cars....but that was years ago.
I have always loved the hymn "O God our help in ages past." We have lived through those ages...past. But the song goes on with the words, "a thousand ages in Thy sight are like an evening gone, quick as the watch that ends the night and brings the breaking dawn."
This time in your lives are the evening and night that the song speaks to...but we know and trust that with God WILL COME the breaking dawn.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God hold you close in the days to come.

My Deepest Sympathies to Carolyn's Family & Friends. I had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn 4 years ago when she came to shop at Catherines. She had the ability to light up a room. Her tremendous spirit and beautiful smile will stay with me always. God Bless you.

I used to live two houses away and was good friends with Evan. Carolyn was Mom to all of us that would frequent the house. I moved away from the neiborhood in 88 or 89, but have always kept the friends I made on North Hieghts in my thoughts. My thoughts and prayers go out to my once close friends.

Julie,
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry for the loss of such an inspirational person. Your mother was so courageous and brave during her illness. You and your family are also so brave and strong. I know she is up in heaven now and so pain free. I hope y'all look to the Lord for guidance and comfort because He can fulfill those needs. We love y'all and will continue to pray for you!

I am free from physical distress;
I am free from mental anguish.
I am free from life’s stress;
I am free from earth’s boundaries.
I no longer feel regret;
I no longer feel pain.
I am in His presence;
I am in His loving arms.
The battle is over for me for now;
The war still rages for you.
Be not discouraged because of my going;
But continue the good fight of faith.
God loves you!
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (Amplified Bible)
13 Now also we would not have you ignorant, brethren, about those who fall asleep [in death], that you may not grieve [for them] as the rest do who have no hope [beyond the grave].
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through Jesus those who have fallen asleep [in death].

Callie was such a beautiful person -full of love, compassion, and her love for our Lord. There are no words to say that will make your loss less painful. The knowledge that she's dancing in heaven, personally meeting our Lord, and that she's now in His care is the only thing that will make your tears softer.
We pray that God gives you the strength to continue in this life for Him without her by your side. We pray that God gives you peace and rest in the weeks and months to come.

Our deepest sympathy to Carolyn's family, especially for Charles, whom we had the honor and pleasure to know personally. Both Carolyn and Charles have indomitable spirits which were trusting in God's words until the time came for her to be with the Lord. We ask for God's blessing on all those who are grieving her passing, but offer the following bible verse for consolation:
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. (1 Th 4:13 NASB).

Caroline was one of the most geniune and wonderful people that I was blessed to have as a friend. Her family meant everything to her and she beamed when she spoke of her grandchildren. Mom and I will never forget all the help at "tax time" and we both cherish our ladies lunches that we were able to share together. She has forever changed my life through her brave fight and I will remember her always.

Carolyn was a true blessing in our lives. She was Motherly, friendly and always made people smile when she was around. She always managed to turn the conversation back to your needs and made you feel better by the time the conversation ended. She was also very devoted to her family. I enjoyed many stories and could tell she felt deep love for her family. She was a fighter to the end but, she's in heaven now and I'm sure she's making other people there happy now too! We were all truly blessed to have been a part of her life and my deepest sympathy and love goes out to her family.

What a joy to have known Carolyn and to witness her love and zeal for the Lord. She gave the devil a black eye by not letting sickness steal her joy. She is carrying on with a glorified body and we'll all see her again one day.

What a valiant fighter to the end. We'll sure miss that lilting voice as she encouraged us all. She's dancing across Heaven and laughing with Jesus now, cheering her beloved Charles and the rest of us on to continue the journey with joy.
