Catherine Delores Offield Hinojoza
October 2, 1956 - January 29, 2022
Grapevine, Texas - Cathy passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family in Grapevine, TX on January 29, 2022. She was born in Ranger, TX on October 2, 1956, at 5:55 PM. She moved with her family from her grandparent's ranch to Euless, TX in 1964. She was a graduate of Trinity HS class of '75 where she performed with the Trinity Troy-Anns Drill Team and remained very active as an alumna. She attended TCJC following graduation. She loved being involved as a Trinity Trojan Talk Mentor.
Cathy married her high school sweetheart, Henry Hinojoza, in 1979 and they recently celebrated their 42nd anniversary. Their first date was their senior year of high school where they attended a Dallas Cowboys football game on Thanksgiving Day in 1974 at Texas Stadium. This became an annual celebration carried down with their children. For their 33rd anniversary, their daughter, Rachel and son-in-law, Zack gifted them the two stadium chairs that they sat in at that '74 game.
Cathy has two children, Rachel and Ryan. She was their biggest fan in all their extra-curricular activities. From sports to choir and so much more. She was always involved with ensuring they were ready and prepared for their events, driving them from place to place and taking their pictures. She loved her kids so much; they were her pride and joy. She was happy to be where they were, watching them do what they loved.
Cathy's two granddaughters, Ava and Hazel, kept her going through her battle with colorectal cancer. Their laughter and smiles were her encouragement when moments seemed unbearable. She loved them with all her heart. She anticipated the arrival of her third granddaughter to be born to Ryan and Molly mid-February '22.
Cathy has always had a great love for her family. She has 18 nieces & nephews, she also has many uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws. Additionally, Cathy had many friends, co-workers, clients, neighbors, and countless students whose lives she positively impacted.
She had a special place in her heart for the beach, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, classic cars and trucks and her Coca-Cola collection. She loved photography and over the years had taken many weddings, sports teams, and senior pictures. She was most fond of photographing her family, especially her granddaughters.
Cathy's first job was at McDonald's in Euless, TX. She started her career with RTEC in Bedford, TX and later devoted many years to Hurst-Euless-Bedford I.S.D. Most recently she was a top real estate agent with CENTURY 21 Mike Bowman, Inc., as "Team Hinojoza", with her husband, Henry.
She is survived by her husband and caregiver, Henry G. Hinojoza of Grapevine, TX, daughter, Rachel Hinojoza King (Zack), and granddaughter, Ava Brielle King, of Bedford, TX, son, Ryan Hinojoza (Molly), and granddaughter, Hazel Sue Hinojoza of Bedford, TX, sister and caregiver, Melissa Offield Burda (Joe) of Longview, TX, sisters-in-law, Jenny Offield of Garland, TX, Geni Hinojoza (Lisa King) of Bedford, TX, Joanne Graham (Joe) of Parker, CO, and brother-in-law, John Hinojoza (Angie) of Gun Barrel City, TX.
