Update on Dad's Service: Roads are actually pretty dry our here now.
Tuesday's 2:00pm services will commence even though the schools are closed.

I am deeply saddened by this news. I worked closely with Chet 1996-98 on the AA Corporate Communications team. He was a consummate pro, a tireless worker, and a cheerful presence. He made every subject he photographed look like a star, without using Photoshop. May he rest in peace.

St. Michael Catholic Church will be closed Monday the 23rd due to icey road conditions. The services are postponed until 2pm on Tuesday the 24th. Please pass the message on.

St. Michael Catholic Church follows the HEB School District as far as closures. So, if HEB Schools close tomorrow, then the services will be postponed. But, if HEB Schools do not close, then the services will go on. Please share.

THE SERVICES WILL GO AHEAD AS SCHEDULED assuming HEB schools are open. If the announce district wide closure tonight or tomorrow morning then services will be postponed to a later date.

Chet was one of the first to welcome me to Corp Comm. On my first day, I had to get a pix taken. He said to me "You'll do just fine. Don't let all us old folk scare you." Thanks for making my first day. You will be missed.

Chet, Tom, Marlene and I went to Kenmore Junior and Kenmore West together. Chet was my first boyfriend when we were in 8th grade. He walked to my house during a snow storm on Christmas Eve and surprised me with a necklace. My mom always said she remembered him standing in our living room that night wearing his bright red vest and a big smile. Sending my heartfelt prayers to the entire family. RIP Chet.

Chet and Roberta, as Best Man and Matron of Honor at our wedding, were key parts of the best day of my life. Sue and I are sad to lose Chet's endearingly crooked smile, his quickness to laugh, his ready wit, his stories, and a gentle, subtle manner that put others at ease and made it easy for us to love him. He loved Roberta, his sons, their wives, his grandchildren and his brothers and sister. We miss you, Cheddar.

I'm going to miss Chet. We "connected" on so many points of interest and view. I especially enjoyed our visits and discussions about photography and cameras; his mentoring helped me immensely. He filled many roles and he did them all splendidly; husband, father, grandfather, friend, and citizen. I share in the heartbreak brought by the loss of this wonderful man so early in his life.
