San Antonio, Texas - Chris Eugene Hughes, 62, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.
Chris, born on July 3, 1959 in Cleburne, Texas to Walter Hughes and Elna Francis Garner, proudly served in the U.S. Navy from '77-'83 and again during Desert Storm from '90-'91. He was honorably discharged at the rank of AO3. Chris once owned and operated Delta Automatic Transmission Service, a family owned auto transmission repair shop in Fort Worth. Most recently, he worked as an aircraft structural mechanic.
Chris enjoyed country-western music and classic rock. He enjoyed "cold-beer", chili cheeseburgers and tenderloin steaks. He loved playing golf and riding his Harley. He also enjoyed playing pool, darts, and hunting. Chris was a charismatic, fearless, strong-willed man who dearly loved his wife and sons.
Survivors: Wife, Teri Lynn Hughes; sons, Christopher Hughes and wife, Jessica, and Matthew Hughes; sister, Marla Turner and husband, Mike; nieces, Tracey Hughes, Courtney Gorzalka; and nephew, David Hughes; grandchildren, Gary, Kathryn and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Lennox and Michael.
