Cory Voorhies Obituary
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Sunday in West End Cemetery, Stephenville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Cory was born Feb. 12, 1980, in Ranger. He has resided in Stephenville most of his life, and lived in Fort Worth the past 10 years. Cory was a food service manager and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Judy Bills and Rita Voorhies.
Survivors: His mother and stepfather, Kay and Wayne Hayes of Stephenville; brother and sister-in-law, Cody and Kristi Voorhies of Stephenville; sister and brother-in-law, Brooke and Rusty Schmidt of Grandview; grandparents, Buddy and Virginia Bills of Stephenville, Bill Voorhies of Stephenville; and several nieces and nephews.

I thought about you today, as I have thought about you before. Though none of my internet searches ever panned out anything. Today, I found out. I've always loved you and cared for you. I have looked back at our notes and letters to each other and loved our great memories. I can and never will forget you Cory Lane Voorhies. I know you're somewhere safe and peaceful. I will always love you...

I am so sorry to hear about this tragedy. I worked with Cory at Grandy's when we were in high school. I loved Cory, he was very special to me and had the biggest heart in the world. I am deeply sorry and Cory Ill always love and miss you

i am sitting here in shock, I have known Cory since he was around 18. I knew him when he worked at KFC in Stephenville and I think I knew him before that, but can't remember where he was working at the time. For the past few years I have been thinking of the people I have lost touch with and I had tried numerous times to locate him online to reconnect and continue our friendship with no luck. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. What happened to him ? I just don't know what to say, my heart goes out to the family.
