Darrell Stude Obituary

Darrell L. Stude, 65, went to be with his Savior on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Compass Point Family Church, 2421 Cantrell Sansom Road, Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

The Rev. Darrell L. Stude ran with endurance the race that was set before him, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith. He leaves a legacy of love and compassion to all those he encountered. He was such a blessing to everyone that some thought he hung the moon, but the truth is he didn't; he just knew the One who did.

Darrell was born Dec. 25, 1940, in Alamosa, Colo. He had served the Lord in many aspects of ministry for over 30 years. He retired from National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in January 2006, only to devote all his time to ministry. Darrell was an ordained minister and served as pastor of Faith Christian Fellowship of North Texas (F.C.F.). He also served as the chaplain coordinator for the White Settlement Police Department.

He goes to join those who preceded him in death, one daughter, Sheryl D'Lynn, and his mother, Lois.

Survivors: Wife, Barbara Stude of Fort Worth; son, D'Wayne Stude; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Lonnie Richardson; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; father, Larry; brother, Robert; sisters, Flora Kirk and Norma Wagner; and many loving relatives and friends.
