Dave Gabel was a gentle giant, who loved his wife, his children, and grandchildren. He loved his LORD Christ, and His church. He was my friend. We sang bass together in Sanctuary Choir and JOY Choir. Often I would take Dave home from Wednesday night rehearsals, to allow Joanne a bit of personal time. We enjoyed our conversations along the way. Dave was a faithful ESL worker, always present for duty on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Dave loved to read. I would often find him in the church library, book in hand. He was forever expanding the depth of his knowledge on wide-ranging topics. Already, I miss him, and shall, to the end of my days on earth. I look forward to the day that we renew our friendship in Heaven. He can show me around, and introduce me to the director of the Heavenly Choir.
