Denver, I think of you often and know that you are on the STREETS OF GOLD having a great time! Thank you for your inspiration to us that are still here on this earth. We will meet you in Heaven and we will worship our Lord and Savior for ALL ETERNITY!!! I had the pleasure of hearing you speak at a church and you were so gracious and humble. Until we meet on the Streets of Gold I'll keep your torch burning. I've given your book to several people to read. Thank you for your testimony.

What a blessing to have "met" you upon reading your shared book with Mr. Ron. Your life story is a wonderful testament to how God uses the most unlikely of people to do His will and spread His love to others. Much love to you and Miss Debbie as you walk the streets of gold.

Mr. Denver, I never knew about you. The movie really touched my heart. This has taught me that god works in mysterious ways. Sometimes we tend to lose our path. How god chose this family and yourself to bring the good in people. My condolences to the family.

Thank you Denver. Your story has truly opened my heart and my eyes to those around me and has shown me that God can use anyone's circumstances to teach us about deep love and faith. You were never a 'nobody' but were chosen to be a very special 'somebody'.

Mr Moore's story with Debbie and Ron Hall is the truest example of how God produces love out of animosity, and good out of bad. Truly inspirational. Watching the movie or reading the book will be a blessing I'm sure as it was for me and my wife. Thank you.

I had a dream about Mr. Denver Moore on the 3/24/13, I decided to go to the internet to look up his location and was very sadden to find that he is now with our Lord and Savior. Denver Moore was a true friend and a spiritual guidance in my ministry. I met him several years ago during Outreach Ministry I looked up as I was serving the people, and my three year old son was running up the hill to talk with Mr. Moore who at the time was sitting under the bridge, and as I ran behind my son who led me to Mr. Moore as I spoke with him I found him to be a very private person who loved his space. He often said it was very important to be in a place where you can hear God, what better place to find yourself a spot to steal away on a day to day basis (Jesus did that). He taught me God requires private time in all of our lives. We often spoke about ministry he went on to say remember when you are up speaking stay focus, when God is through you are through. A good leader always prepares themselves, those who fail to prepare prepares themselves to fail, and it will be the unexpected that will take you out.
He later said God sent angels into his life in the form of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hall. Being the private person that he was he was very excited that he talked of them frequently. I didn't get a chance to meet Mrs. Hall. Denver shared her dream with me and truly I know she was a God sent angel. I did get a chance to meet Mr. Hall on several occasions who is a man of faith and was very graceful to meet him.
Mr. Hall you open the door of your heart spiritually and naturally to receive the man of God who came as a homeless man truly God is with you.
Your wife Mrs. Hall heard God's voice walked in her purpose and fulfilled her called, she understood her mission. Both of you were such a blessing.
God prepared Himself two bodies came down walked in both of you as a team and got the job done, that's a lesson in itself for men and women to walk in unity in Christ Jesus The Word Of God says in Matthews 18:19 "Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Through the relationship of two different people from two different walks of life thousands of homeless people will come to know the love of Christ and many homless shelters will expereince the blessings of God. as Denver always said many of us is just one paycheck away from being homeless. St. John 6:35 Jesus said unto them "I am the bread of life, he that cometh to me shall never hunger and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Thank you Mr. Ron Hall for following the true vision of God. May the Lord abundantly bless your continual work in Christ Jesus.

While currently living a mission in Los Angeles, CA. I found a copy of your book about a week ago and just finised reading it. Thank you for such a inspiring life story of experiences and sharing them. Then decided to google Mr. Moores'name, only to learned he has joined his friend Miss Debbie. God Bless you Mr.Ron.

February 26, 2013

I was lucky enough to randomly pick up a copy of Ron and Denver's book at the Goodwill. I started reading and didn't put it down till I finished it. I wanted to know more about Denver and Ron and just learned of his passing. I'm saddened but happy at the same time--I know he's in a better place. Debbie and him are now waiting for Ron and will someday be reunited.

My heart is sadden. Today I googled your name to see what you were up to with Mr. Hall and learned of your death.
Mr. Moore you taught me so much in reading your book.
Surely God placed you where you needed to be.
As Mr. Hall said you get to meet up with Mrs. Debra.
So very happy to have met you through words on paper.

Denver - my loss that I didn't have the opportunity to meet you in person, though I feel I know you because of having read your book. Mrs. Debbie is so lucky to have found you and you her Denver. What a wonderful reunion this must of been.

A man of inspiration to say the least!!! I was blessed to have meet him in the Spring of 2010 at my children's school. He was such a pleasant man with a heart for God and a heart of hope-he and God will make a good team in heaven with Deborah cheering them on! Thanks, Denver, for being so transparent with your life and letting the world know through your story that God forgives us and moves us where He wants us for His kingdom!

I had the privilidge of meeting Denver Moore back in the early 90's. I took a job managing the Labor Force in downtown Ft. Worth, and Denver was an employee there. I might add, a very hard working, respected employee. I have not read the book, but plan to. I never even knew he had written it until his passing. As time went on, the Labor Hall closed, and I had lost any contact I ever had with Denver. I do know he was a good, hard working man, and touched a lot of lives during his time. I am thankful that I got to know him if only for a short while.

WE WERE ALL PUT HERE ON EARTH WITH A PURPOSE, AND DENVER'S PURPOSE WAS TO BE THE ONE WHO HAD TO GO THROUGH TRAILS & TRIBULATIONS IN ORDER TO BE FOUND BY RON & DEBORAH HALL. BY GOD WORKING THROUGH RON & DEB AND NEVER GIVING UP ON ONE OF GOD'S CHILD, DENVER WAS ABLE TO SHOW UP AND SHOW OUT WITH SPREADING THE LOVE AND HIS LIFE STORY TO OTHERS ALL AROUND THE WORLD. A LESSON WE ALL NEED TO REMEMBER IS: "NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED AND THE HOMELESS, FOR THEY JUST MIGHT BE AN ANGEL SENT INDISGUISED TO HELP CHANGE THE WORLD" THANKS DENVER FOR SHINING YOUR LIGHT ON ME.

I first learned about Mr. Denver and the book "Same Kind of Different as Me" a few years ago from my co-worker, Ms. Isabel Petta. I was one of seventeen people she gave this book to, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was especially touching because the story happened right here in my hometown! That same year, Mr. Denver and Mr. Ron came to Ms. Petta's church in Fort Worth, and she invited me to hear Mr. Denver speak. I was thrilled to actually meet him and have him autograph my book.
Thank you, and God bless you, Mr. Ron and the late Mrs. Deborah, for being the caring, generous, loving, helpful people that you are.

How sad I am to hear that Mr Denver has passed. I never got to meet this wonderful man. I read he and Ron's book as a class assignment, and it touched me sooo deeply that I bought copies to give out just to share their message. Mr Denver is with Ms Deborah again and with God. This man has become such an inspiration for me, and the book changed me as well. Thank you Mr Denver for being the man you were and for touching my life the way you did. We had a great deal in common. I will meet you one day-and Ms Deborah. Until then say hi to my mom, and bask in the Glory you have waited on for so long. I will miss you!

To Denver's family & friends and especially Ron: Words cannot express how deeply I'm sadend by Mr. Moore's passing. Ms. Deb was at the Gates to great him to the other side. You will never know the full impact that your book and the inspriration that it has given a lot of people to reach out to their community and help those that are still in the situation that Mr. Moore was when God spoke to Ms. Deb. I saw Mr. Moore and Ron at a church in Arlington a few years ago - and will never forget you two. I have your book - but I've given your book away to many of my friends. May Mr. Moore's light forever shine on the good country town of Fort Worth and to all the towns across this Great Nation! May Ms. Deb's story be a continued inspiration to all. Mr. Moore - may you forever rest in peace.

April 10, 2012

I have such a sad heart because I was unable to go to see you and Ron and family there in Fort Worth the times that I would come to visit my sons. After being led to read your books, I KNEW that God puts certain "angels" into our lives with just the right touch and the perfect language to capture our hearts and bolster our spirit as we move to that next level of our walk with our God. While I feel that you are my dear friend although we never met here on this earth; I so look forward to seeing you and walking and talking with you when I reach those pearly gates. God must be beaming with pride and with joy as one who in my book was as tested as Job, overcame Satan and put on the full armor of God and led by example. My prayers are with all of you left behind with Denver's journey Home.

Most sincerely, Lana Tatsch, Kerrville, TX

I got to see and hear Denver and Ron speak several times over the years. Denver always seemed to be unsure about his popularity but aware that God put him in this position to help others. It took a lot of guts to tell people about himself but he touched so many more people than I think he realized and showed insight into helping the homeless. It was an honor to have him here on earth and I look forward to seeing him again.

Betsy Rogers

April 10, 2012

I met Denver before one of his book signings. We were both there early and I had the honor and priviledge of meeting and conversing with a man who had a strong relationship with Jesus. We spent some time talking at a table, just the two of us, and he taught me that he and I had something in common.
Both Denver and I are just a nobody, trying to tell everybody, about a Somebody, who can save anybody. Knowing Denver is in Heaven makes looking forward to it just that much more special. A real servant of the Lord graduated from Earth school. He will be missed.

Your life was hard but you gave your love to the

I have had the privilege of hearing Denver and Ron speak on a few occasions. I have read both of their books and feel that I have become their friend. In the book Same Kind of Different as Me, Denver says that Miss Debbie could not go Home until someone was willing to pick up the torch for her. Denver promised her that last day that he would do that. He said that he would carry the torch for the homeless. Let us now as a community of believers do the same for Denver. Thank you Denver and Ron for sharing with the world your stories.
