Donna Harmon
December 4, 1933 - February 11, 2025
Fort Worth, Texas - Donna Harmon, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 91 years young.
Donna was born in Alleghany, California, on December 4, 1933. Her family later moved to Dunsmuir, California. She attended Dunsmuir High School, where she was a cheerleader and editor of the school yearbook. It was there that she met her husband, William Harmon. They married on April 12, 1953, and shared 64 wonderful years together.
Donna loved Girl Scouts and spent most of her life serving others through Girl Scouting. She began as a member and was a scout leader for each of her daughters and one of her granddaughters. She was camp director for day camps for over 20 years and served on numerous Scout committees and councils. The number of girls whose lives she touched through Girl Scouts is innumerable.
While Donna was certainly devoted to her five children, her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She never missed a chance to celebrate with her family, whether it was attending dance recitals, games, or school events. Christmas at "The Ranch" was a magical time, filled with love, laughter, and cherished traditions. She lovingly sewed baby towels for every new grandchild, created handmade doll clothes and costumes, and always had an open heart and home for those she loved.
Her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support made her the heart of the family. She was always ready with a hug, a story, or a homemade gift crafted with love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and deep devotion to her family.
She is lovingly remembered by daughters Betty Lowry and husband Cal, Jolene White, Kathleen Harmon and husband Dallas, DeAnn Laughlin and husband Craig; and son Bill Harmon and wife Ghenna Lynn. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on March 6 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth.
Afterward, all are invited to join the family as they celebrate the life of Donna at The Copper Wall, 1137 Burton Hill Rd, Fort Worth at 12:30 p.m.
Instead of flowers, donations in Donna's name to
