Doris Johnson Obituary

Doris Johnson, 81, a retired bookstore manager at Tarrant County College Northeast Campus, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington.

She devoted her life to the care and well-being of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Johnson, and daughter, Lee Sharon Johnson.

Survivors: Daughters, Lynn Young and husband, Wayne, of Fort Worth and Gail Johnson of Saginaw; grandson, Randy Streig of Saginaw; brother, Walter Tiedeman and wife, Ruth, of Richardson; nephew, Mike Tiedeman and wife, Sandra, of Hurst; niece, Ellen Steger and husband, Mark, of Richardson; and great-niece and great-nephews, Lisa Tiedeman of Hurst and John and Scott Steger of Richardson.

I was so sad to hear the news about Doris. When I went to work at TCJC NE Bookstore in November 1984, Doris was my "boss", and she was a good one to one. She taught me many things about the bookstore business which I later used when I moved to NW campus. She was a truly enjoyable person to be around. She will be missed by many others besides her family.

Gail and Lynn,

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing away. We lost my Mom on Jan. 23rd of this year so I can truely tell you that I know what you are going through. I loved your Mom alot. She was truely a very very special person and I know that she will be missed by all whose lives that she touched. I will keep your families in my thoughts and prayers.
