Earlene Beckworth Obituary

Earlene Fitch Beckworth, 65, a retired Mobil employee, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Rosemary Oberhue officiating. Burial: Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Memorials: American Cancer Association; M.D. Anderson; or a charity of choice.

Earlene was born June 27, 1936, in Tarrant County and had resided in Irving for 58 years. She was a 1953 graduate of Irving High School and went on to work 35-plus years for Mobil Oil. Upon retirement, she took up her passion for travel, making lifelong friends along the way. She was beloved by all and will be remembered for her never-ending selflessness, her fun-loving spirit, her generosity and her capacity to love and care for others. Earlene was the daughter of the late R.E. Fitch.

Survivors: Her mother, Polly F. Fitch; sons, Ronald, Roland and Ryan Beckworth; daughter-in-law, Misty Beckworth; grandchildren, Brandon, Jackson and Cason; sister and brother-in-law, Lee and Norma Chambers; two nieces; a nephew; and many, many friends.
