Sadly I have only just learned of the loss of this wonderful lady. Ether Smith has been an employee of Smith Protection Security since July of 1997. She made a lasting impression not only among her fellow employees but with the clients she served. She set a high example of what others should follow.

She always stood out as an exemplary indvidual of great pride and joy. She made you proud just to know her. My deepest sympathy to her family, thank you for sharing her with all of us for the short time we had to know her. God Bless.

Ether was the most delightful, friendly, and spirt-filled lady I have ever known. When I would come in to work early in the morning, I would hear her beautiful voice, and oh what a voice she had, it would brighten my day! She was a true inspiration! She loved God, she loved her family and enjoyed giving of her time at the senior center. Ether was a very special lady. I was so fortunate to have had the opportunity to know her! She is singing with the angels now...front and center!! My deepest sympathy to her family, but please know what a wonderful and caring lady she was and how many lives she blessed and touched..mine included! God Bless..

I was so saddened to hear of Ethers passing. She was a bright light to all of us at Medtronic. I always loved to see Ether, she always made my day a happier one. I loved how she would walk through the building singing hymns. I am certain that Ether is now happily singing among the angels. I will miss her. Dawn Saye (Fort Worth, Tx)

I worked with Ether at Medtronic and she was a friendly, hard working, Christian woman that was always willing to share her common sense knowledge and life lessons. I am going to miss seeing her smiling face and listening to her kind words.

All the best and prayers to her soul and family.
God bless.

Sincerely,

Norma and Family,

Missionary Smith gave us so much love and life lessons. There was always a light in her eyes and a kiss to our faces (and mouths). As forestated she brought cookies, crackers, and candy to the kids (and some of us who are bigger kids) each Sunday she attended. She was truly "God sent" and her warm loving spirit was transferred to us in her presence and over the phone each and every time. We miss her smile, her presence and her giving spirit. Take comfort in knowing she is an "Angel" and is now resting in Heaven.

Prayerfully submitted,

Missionary Nikki Lampkin Gordon

Ether was the kind of person that let her love of God radiate. Often it was just by using her beautiful voice to sing His praises as she quietly walked around. She was the kind of friend that you didn't have to see every day or even every week to feel that special bond. It was just there. Her legacy to us is that in all things, we can and should always find something to praise the Lord about. I was truly blessed to have had her in my life.

Mrs. Smith was a wonderful neighbor and friend to our family. She will be sorely missed. I don't think I'll ever be able to go to my mother's house without looking across the street for Mrs. Smith. May the peace of the Lord provide solace to the family to endure the days ahead.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ether's passing. What a wonderful angel on this earth!! Now, she is with her heavenly father. I know she is rejoicing! She can be with her loved ones and praise. To her family: Keep your memories close, share, cry and laugh about the good times. Till you meet again.
