Fort Worth, Texas - Eula Belle Huffman, 89, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas following a life both well-lived and well-loved. Whether you knew her as Eula, Cissie, Mom or Noni, you were left with an imprint of kindness and compassion that will stay with you forever.

Eula was born in Odessa, Texas on January 19, 1936, to Jessamine Margaret Mott and John Collerson Mott. She grew up in Stanton, Texas where she had the privilege of being doted on as an only child for several years before cherishing her new role as the big sister to her two younger sisters and brother. They fondly called their home Mott Hill because it sat on top of a slightly raised area of property that was surrounded by red, flat land farmed mainly for cotton. Although a stark landscape to some, Eula's curious nature and imaginative mind found joy in playing with her siblings and friends in an old two-story barn, in the horse corrals, or on a wagon being pulled by a tractor. She also developed an early love of reading which nourished her through the highs and lows of life.
In 1954, Eula graduated from Stanton High School and attended Odessa Junior College. The following year, Eula's high school sweetheart, Marshall Dolph Huffman, returned home from his U.S. Army service in Korea. On December 31, 1955, they married and began a loving, life-long journey together. Their eldest child, Collerson, was born in 1960 in College Station while Marshall was attending Texas A&M University. The next two children, Carry and Chrisee were born while the family lived in Fort Stockton.
Eula devoted much of her adulthood to raising her children, but she also carved out time to build a career. She worked for the school system while living in Pecos. After moving to Odessa, she began working for Continental Airlines and then later American Airlines until her retirement. She also volunteered in every community that she called home.
It was fitting that her final home was in the place she always wanted to live, Fort Worth. As a child in west Texas, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram brought her news from around the globe but more importantly recaps from college football games. TCU was her favorite team, and she spent her honeymoon watching them play in the Cotton Bowl.
In addition to her warmth, kindness and grace, Eula was also known for her snappy outfits, road-tripping, bird watching, note card writing, Scrabble playing, football watching, and great conversation. She was also thrilled that she got to experience the Texas Rangers winning a World Series.
Eula/Cissie/Mom/Noni will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Her devotion and unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was received with gratitude and respect from: sons, Marshall Collerson Huffman (Carolyn) and his daughter, Sydney Huffman; Benjamine Carry Huffman (Kristi) and their children, Austin Huffman (her son, Asa Aufdengarten), Justin Huffman, and Westin Huffman; and daughter, Chrisee Huffman and her children, Brett Tebbe and Emily Tebbe (her son, Miles Terrazas).
Eula was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband; and her great-grandson, Levon Bishop Wright.
She is survived by her children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Sara Blocker (Corky), and Jean Scudder (Danny); brother, Ben Mott (Bernie); plus sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jimmie Perkins (Jim), Dianna Coleman (Michael), and Rodney Huffman (Connie). This close family also includes many nieces, nephews and her assistant, Leticia Munoz.
