Eunice Gilchrist

1934 - 2026

Eunice Elnora Gilchrist was born on January 28th, 1934 to George Virgil Diller and Daisy (Miller) Diller in Nash, Oklahoma on the farm west of Nash. Eunice attended a country school and later graduated from Nash High School in 1952 and furthered her education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She furthered her education at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas and received her Master's Degree.

Eunice married Wilfred Gilchrist on June 1st, 1953. They lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They were blessed with one son, Charles Wayne and his wife Tina; Two grandsons Stephen and his wife Pamla, and Reese and his wife Jane; Four Great Grandchildren Christopher, Kelly, Carter, and Jack; and many nieces and nephews.

Eunice became a government teacher and taught at MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas from 1960 until her retirement in May of 1993. She was apart of the Honor Society, 1st Cardinal of the Month.

Eunice loved red cardinals and collected many different ones. She enjoyed painting free hand and was a member of a paint club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Ruth & George, and her husband, Wilfred Gilchrist.

A funeral for Eunice will be held on March 26th, 10 a.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034. Burial to follow.
