Frances Edmiston Obituary

Frances Jurine Laseter Nelson Edmiston, 86, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014. Memorial service: 3:30 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Memorials: Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Frances was born Dec. 13, 1927, in Los Angeles, Calif. She was a graduate of Texas Wesleyan, got her master's degree from TCU and was an educator for Fort Worth ISD for 30 years. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lt. Grady Laseter Jr.; and husband, Capt. Leroy B. Nelson. Survivors: Sister, D'Arcy McCauley and husband, Buford; niece, Candy Horton and husband, Tom; nephew, Larry McCauley and wife, Joan; great-nieces, Deedee Horton and Parrish Horton; great-nephews, Stewart McCauley, Michael McCauley and Travis McCauley; and great-grandniece, Ellie Horton.

Jurine will be missed by her Monday Book Club friends from the Woman's Club of Fort Worth. She served as our president and was the most faithful, intelligent, and thoughtful person. We had looked forward to her coming back as an active member.
