Gary Wright Obituary

Gary Dean "Deano" Wright passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 30, 2013. Service: Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Dean's life from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the River Oaks Community Center, 5300 Blackstone, 76114. Dean was born June 26, 1936, in Chico. His family moved to El. Paso but came back to Fort Worth in 1948. He attended Diamond Hill High School, class of 1955. He was an electrician and owned a pole line company in the '70s and '80s. After that he and best friend Richard Williams were partners at Big Pit BBQ. He later went back to work as an electrician. He raised two sons and many of their friends. He loved watching his sons and grandsons play sports. He didn't meet strangers, and after you met him you were better for it. Survivors: Wife, Sharon; sister, Gail Ketchum; sons, Dirk and Doug and their wives; and grandsons, Bobby, Garrett, Brandon, Dakota, Gabriel and Jonah.
