God walked through His garden early Friday morning
He looked over His flower beds and saw one kind missing.
He took inventory _ Um-m, TJ, Nona, the Jewels, Clomer, Tom, Bob, Edward , James Edward and Fred
And thought, Today I’ll add Gladys to my glorious flower bed.
He came early, like a thief of the night
With outstretched arms, He guided her home with His light
As much as she loved being with us one and all
It could not make her resist the Master’s call
So at 4:10 am , October 3rd
God’s sweet soft voice she answered as she heard.
Come my child and go with Me
To rest in the beauty of My garden throughout eternity.
Wrapped in God’s arms as she ascended on high
I can hear her say ,don’t worry about me, you need not cry.
I’ve lived my life and fought a good fight
I helped when I could, loved and tried to treat people right.
Family gatherings, church, bowling and such
These are the things I enjoyed so very much.
I tried to always be joyous, virtuous and do the right thing
Because I strived to be a child of the KING.
Now that life’s struggle for me is over and I take my place
I can rest in the LORD as I look upon His face.
And hear Him say, you’ve fought a good fight and ran a good race
Come on up higher to your new dwelling place.

Your niece,

To the family of Miss Gladys Pullum:
We met Gladys at Don Carter's on Beach Street way back when. She and Freddie were some of the nicest people we had ever met. She was a member of the first league I ever was secretary of and was so sweet! We will sadly miss her, but will fondly remember her smile and laugh. She is with her Lord and will always be as beautiful outside as she was inside. We have a saying that sums it all up....Just remember, we are not saying goodbye, just we'll see you later! God bless all of you!

We were heart broken to hear you had left us, but God has a special bowling league for you to play in now. We know that you are one of His best players. We will miss you and your smile.

You are spoken of very highly so you must have been great in this life. HE has taken you now for HIMSELF. God is not selfish because you were here for so long among friends and family. Now...rest, and be embraced by the Lord. I did not know you personally but I happened to see your NAME in the paper and I became curious. I moved here from Baltimore, MD

This is the day that the lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glade in it. Gladys will be missed by all of us. We enjoyed her while she walked the earth sharing her joy with all. Her smile was amazing and she always had something cheerful to say. She was the secretary for Big Red Bowling League for many years. She was the President for 7 years, and she was a member of the league from the begining until present...about 33 yrs. She always advocated fairness and a desire for clean fun while bowling. Yes, the heavens will never be the same now that Mrs Gladys is there. Now as believers, we have to get ourselves in order so that we may see Mrs Gladys again. For this is the promise the Lord has made to us all...eternal life. To the family...God Bless you all. In this time of sorrow, God will take care of you. Just Look to him, Hes Able and willing to carry you through. God Bless and Keep you all.
