I was saddened to see in the latest AA Jetnet update the passing of Bill. I was a colleague of Bill's when he was the Regional Manager of the Texas Region. Bill was the consummate gentleman and I feel blessed to have known and worked with him. A story I remember about Bill which has brought a smile to my face every time I think about it was the time his cat got caught when the garage door closed on him, I believe when Bill and Marge were living in Austin. Without hesitation, Bill picked up the limp and non-breathing cat and gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Bill's quick thinking gave the precious family pet one of his 9 lives back.
Marge, my condolences to you and your family.

I remember the first day back in the late 60s/early 70s I met Bill. I was about 4 or 5. My mom got a new job at American and was his secretary. The office at Love Field had a single "G" on the door in that cool, modern terminal. When I first was introduced to Bill he told me that the G meant "Girls" as there were a few ladies in the office but he was the only guy. Even at that age, I could tell he was a kind and awesome human being.
My parents went on many trips with the Kyles -- many in foreign places -- for which I have pictures. There's Bill always leading the party and making sure everyone else is having a great time.
There are many more places we visited Bill and his lovely wife Marge and I remember them all. As many have said in this post, Bill didn't have a negative word to say about anyone. When I needed business guidance, he was always there for me. He had a steady demeanor about him that I have recognized in other great business people in my professional life.
We are sorry to see Bill go and wish Marge and her family our sincerest sympathy.

Marge, So many memories you must have to comfort you. Perhaps the greatest comfort of all is in knowing that he has reached his goal...heaven. Our fond memories are of the "trailer days" on the ramp at the Austin airport. How we laughed!
Please know that we are thinking of you and that we wish you and your family peace during this time.

Bill was a sweet and precious presence in Southlake and we were blessed to have him. He is truly missed! Bill Kyle has been my childrens Santa since they were born. His kind spirit in that capacity has touched thousands of children each Christmas in this, just one of the many volunteer roles he held. Marge is the most beautiful and elegant Mrs. C ever! We have had the priveledge of riding in the sleigh with he and Mrs. Clause and having our children with him each lighting celebration since they were babies. It just won't be the same now. We are keeping the family in our prayers and ask everyone do the same. We are very sad, but heaven is rejoicing at the wonderful angel welcomed through its gates. Marge please let us know if there is anything we can do for you - anything at all!! We are praying Gods special blessings of peace, love and strength over you at this difficult time.

I worked with Bill when he was a Station Manager in El Paso, I was Regional Manager Mail and Express. I found Bill to be outgoing, gracious, never had a bad word for anyone. Didn't know anyone that didn't like Bill. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time.

Though I've only known Bill for a few years it was more than enough time to realize what an exceptional human he is. His heart and capacity to give was truly the size of Texas. He'll certainly be missed on earth but now there's one more angel looking out for all of us. God Bless and keep you all.

A great boss, mentor, and one of the finest human beings I have ever had the privelege of being associated with. A true gentleman, who often spoke of his lovely wife Marge and the kids with so much pride and joy.

So many childhood memories come to mind when I heard of Bill's passing. The Kyle family were the ones who helped my folks adjust to Arizona lifestyle and were there through thick and thin. Used to love going down to Sky Harbor to watch Bill bring in planes and watch the big jets land. Marge helped with the Girl Scout troop and Bill rescued me when my Mom left eggs boiling on the stove. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless! Aleah Bell Burreson
