Hardy Mills Obituary

Hardy Pierce Mills III, 58, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012. Graveside service: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home. Hardy was a very devoted husband and father. He married Cathy Aug. 19, 1981, and enjoyed 31 wonderful years of marriage. Hardy graduated from Diamond Hill High School in 1972 and worked in the transportation department at Lockheed Martin for 36 years. He lived everyday to its fullest and expressed how many blessings he had in his life until the very end. Hardy was a very proud man especially of his family, he had a great sense of humor and wanted everyone else to be happy. He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and camping with his three sons and his friends. Hardy was a very patriotic man and proud to live in the United States of America. He served his country honorable in the United States Marine Corps 1972-1976. Hardy loved old western movies and playing with his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Hardy was preceded in death by his father, Hardy P. Mills Jr., in 1974 and brother, Gerald Mills, in 2010. Survivors: Wife, Cathy Mills; sons, Hardy P. "Sonny" Mills IV and wife, Danielle, Joshua Mills and wife, Wendy, Jacob Mills and wife, Cindy, all of Fort Worth; mother, Alice Walden of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Ethan, Ebin, Hardy Pierce "Shane" Mills V and Madelyn.
