Jack was my radio production mentor. When I expressed the burning desire to learn from a seasoned pro, he could not have been more helpful and more generous, even when he obviously felt terrible.
I owe Jack Dillon more than I can ever convey in words, and now, I'll owe him into the next life. I miss him terribly, but I know he is finally at peace, in that big prod studio in the sky.....I hope there are no network dubs up there, my friend. We shall meet again someday, God willing.

My Dear Friend Sherry,
It has been so very long since I last heard from you and today I was thinking about Jack & you so I called the station to see if he was still working and I was so surprised to hear he had passed away. Bill & I just was thinking about you this week end and wondering how you both were doing and the kids. Please call me so we can talk. We loved Jack & You very much and though we drifted apart we thought about you & the family all the time. You were great to work with and I miss you. I am so sorry you are having to go through such a painful time but I know the closeness your family has and they will be there for you always. Know that we love you very much and we will keep you & the family in our thoughts and prayers each day. I know Jack will be missed sorely by you and all his friends. God Bless You & take care of you and the family this day and always.
We Love you!

I will miss Jack so much as he always lifted me up and made me laugh. I used to work with him at the station and he was like a rock. I know that he is in heaven rejoicing with our Lord but I miss him very much. I'm so sorry that I found out so long after the passing. I miss having lunch with him at Hibachi 97!

Jack was a prince of a man. His heroic battle will always inspire me, but what I will remember most is his pure decency and kindness toward every soul he encountered.
His funeral Friday July 6 left me wanting to be a better person. It was a packed house, filled with people who will miss him at home, in the WBAP hallways and on the air.
May God bless Jack and his family. He has surely blessed us by allowing us to share his life.

Sherry,
Please know how sorry I am that Jack has left us. I knew he was someone special from the very first time I met him. He made going to lunch a special event. I will miss his gentle spirit and that beautiful voice. I will miss my lunch buddy so much. I truly loved him. He was one in a million and I can't tell you how much he taught me. I still expect him to walk around that corner. He meant the world to me.

I had the honor of working with Jack for many years. Neither of us ever retired. We just went on permanent Lunch Break. We shared a zillion Radio War Stories and many good times together. But, most of all, we shared...friendship.
Rest well, my friend

I was very fortunate to have worked with Jack at KBOX. He was an excellent radio man, and an all around wonderful human being. He will be missed.

One of the pleasures of working at WBAP the past dozen years was interacting with Jack. He always had a kind word and always took time out of his busy production schedule to chat when I'd run into him in the break room.
When he took his long leaves due to illness the last few months I missed our friendly talks in the hallway.
Jack was a pro and has my complete respect and admiration. He led a life that touched so many. I will miss him very much.

We will miss you deeply Pa-Pa. I will miss all the GREAT and memorable times we had together. You always took wonderful care care of us. I will NEVER forget that. You were a wonderful grandfather. Every time my little girl smiles I think of you. I just wish she was older so she could of remembered you. Now, I can tell her stories and share in laughter and sorrow. I don't know how I can go on without hearing your sweet voice---your advice and the way you always made me feel better after all of our conversations. God, I MISS YOU SO. One day we will meet again, I truely believe that. Please watch over me and our family and friends--Keep us safe from harm--I know you will. You are and always will be my guardian angel. To the strongest man I ever knew, you are my HERO.
I love you Pa-pa!!
