I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. James Louis Gosey, 53, finished his race on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Life celebration: 11 a.m. Friday at Great Commission Baptist Church. Visitation: Noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at Serenity Funerals and Cremations followed by a wake from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Great Commission. Survivors: Beloved wife, Cecilia Johnson; loving children, Sheldon Gosey (Alanna), Brantley J. Gosey (B.J.) and Jazmine N. Gosey; adorable grandchild, Jada N. Gosey; siblings, Shirley Robertson, Lera Mae Tolbert (James), Pataricia Kenebrew, L.C. Gosey Jr., Bernadette Smith (Terry) Ronald Gosey (Bonita), Bobby Gosey (Ann) and Sharon Nash (Sammy); godson, Steve Skalij; and a host other family and friends.

I did not hear about LTC Gosey's passing until this past weekend. I had the honor of serving as his Squad Leader during his time with the Warrior Transition BN(WTB) @ BAMC. Despite being a Field Grade Officer, LTC Gosey always displayed a genuine sense of care and inclusion for everyone he crossed paths with. It was truly an honor to serve you, and to serve with you Sir. May your humble soul rest in peace.

Oh how I miss you.....Its hard to grasp the fact that you are absent. I have to say, Thank you James just for blessing me to have the peace that I do. I know that by your lifestyle, love for your fellow man and leadership through your study/ belief of our Lord and Savior you are with our father in Heaven.
