My Father was in the war with Mr. Fitter. Mr. Fitter was my Father's Co-Pilot and they remained close friends throughout the years.
I am saddened to learn of Mr. Fitters death. I tried to call him today to see how he was doing and the number was no longer in service. After further research, I found this obituary.
I know Daddy was at Heaven's Gate to meet and hug Mr. Fitter.
My condolences to the entire Fitter family.

Melissa,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. He sounded like a man of many accomplishments but through it all he kept God as his focus in life. May you find comfort in the many happy memories as you and your family proceed in life without him.

Melissa, I'm so sorry to learn about the passing of your Dad. I remember your Dad taking you and I and your siblings to the minor league baseball games with our softball gloves in hand. He helped us become better softball players by pointing out how the fielders handled certain hits coming their way. I remember your Dad as a kind, loving and gentle man with his children and with me. Gentle thoughts and prayers to you and yours. Pam (Weaver) Jacoby
