Jeffrey Kandt Obituary

Jeffrey Todd Kandt, 48, a lifelong resident of Cleburne, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, in California. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Sunday at Ascension Lutheran Church in Cleburne. The Rev. Joe Ardy will officiate. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church. Jeff was born Jan. 14, 1964, the son of Bob and Shirley Kandt. He graduated from Cleburne High School in 1982 and from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos with a degree in advertising. Jeff was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He was currently employed by National Fleet Tracking, a division of Glen Rose Transportation Management. Jeff had also worked at KLLM Trucking, seasonally at The Cutting Edge Haunted House in Fort Worth, and for many years at the family business, Ben Franklin Crafts. However, he was most loved and remembered as our local DJ: "Jammin' Jeff Kandt." Jeff was creative, enthusiastic, loved music and concerts and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Kandt. Survivors: His father, Bob Kandt; sister, Rebecca Roe and husband, Robert; and nephews, Ryan and Garrison Roe, all of Cleburne.

My absolute best friend growing up in Cleburne. So much so they had us in separate classes in grade school so we would stay out of trouble ;-) You will be missed.
