Jennie Wright Obituary

Jennie Ethelyne Wright, 99, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Ethelyne was born Feb. 26, 1907, in Riverside, a suburb of Fort Worth, where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Central High School in June 1926. Her first job was with two ophthalmologists, Dr. Frank D. Boyd and Dr. Charles E. Ball. Ethelyne then went to work for Southwestern Drug Co. for 10 years and attended Southern Business School. She also worked 17 1/2 years for Sinclair Oil and Gas Co., which later merged with Atlantic Richfield Co. She retired in March 1972.

She was a lifetime member of Riverside Christian Church and was a member of Christian Women's Fellowship in Fort Worth.

Survivors: Nephew, Carroll Lee Wright and wife, Beverly; nieces, Beverly Allen Hearne, Virginia Lee Moore and Lou Ann Hoppe; and great-nephews, Darrin Wayne Hoppe, Charles David Hoppe and Benjamin Wright.
