Fort Worth, Texas - My beloved wife, mother, and friend, Jody Joette Lipert Schilling, passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 68, under hospice care in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 8, 1957.

To her husband, Gary, she was not just a partner but a true companion – loyal, kind and funny. How she loved to laugh, she had the most infectious laugh that no one could forget once they heard it.

Jody had a variety of jobs. She worked as an art director at a gallery in Seguin, Texas, managed women's clothing stores, senior accounting clerk at Southland Corp., worked for the FWISD, and as a church secretary.

Her favorite role was that of mother to her son, Jordan, companion to her husband, Gary, and friend to the many people in her life.

Jody was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Liepert.

She is survived by her mother, Judith Liepert, of Weatherford, Texas; husband, Gary; and son, Jordan of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Jamie Langston and brother-in-law, Gary Langston, and nephews, Chris and Jack Langston of Washington, DC. She is survived by many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces in Wisconsin; and many cousins in Wisconsin and Tennessee.

A memorial service for Jody will be held at Saint Matthews Lutheran Church, 5709 Wedgewood Dr., Forth Worth, Texas 76133, at 11 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2025. A lunch will follow in the fellowship hall after the service.

Scattering of ashes will be in Wisconsin at a yet to be determined date.
