Joe Smith Obituary
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington. Graveside Service: 4 p.m. Saturday in Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Visitation will be one hour before service time on Saturday at Moore Funeral Home.
Joe was born March 23, 1941. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells. He loved life and never met a stranger. His family shared him with many others because he was a friend to all.
He enjoyed playing golf, his pet chickens, soap and candle making.
Joe loved his wife, children and grandchildren deeply. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Maurine Smith of Mineral Wells.
Survivors: Wife of 22 years, Marlene Smith of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Mark Wang of Irving; son, Joe Smith, Jr. of Mineral Wells; daughter, Crista Ortiz of Mineral Wells; granddaughters, Shelby Ortiz of Mineral Wells and Morgan Wang of Irving; grandsons, Aaron Wang of Irving and Jackson Ortiz of Mineral Wells; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ron White of Arlington; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Bill Hickman of Arlington; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Joe truly never met a stranger, I did so enjoy him coming to watch us bowl, & share his jokes with us. I will miss him terribly. Love to his family in this sad time.
