John Moody

Richardson, Texas - John Harold Moody, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away September 22, 2022 at the age of 78. John was born November 16, 1943, in Fort Worth. He was the son of the late Garth Anthony Moody and Dora (Leath) Moody. He was a 1961 graduate of Birdville High School, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government in 1969 and a Master of Public Administration in 1974 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
John was very proud of his service to his country with both the United States Marine Corps and the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a Marine, John was stationed in Rota, Spain aboard the U.S.S. Holland where he received the USMC Excellent Service Award in 1965. As a federal employee, John spent the majority of his career in the Administration for Children and Families as a Program Specialist with the Office of Child Support Enforcement in Dallas. He was often recognized for his outstanding performance.
Survivors include his daughter Amanda Talbert and husband, Josh, of Richardson, Texas, son Jason Evans, of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Sierra Talbert, graduate of UCLA in Los Angeles, California, Camden Talbert, student at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois; beloved sister, Linda Russell of Fort Worth; and three nieces, their husbands, children and grandchildren.
