I waited on him at Arlington Post Office.. He'd pick up and drop off team's mail.
And, he had played minor league ball with my next door neighbor; that was Calumet City IL.

John Welaj was one of the hardest working, most dedicated men that I have ever known. He was baseball through and through and he loved the Texas Rangers.

I am a better person for having had the privilege of knowing John.

Sincere condolences to the entire Family; he will be missed!
