Johnie Ray Daniel, 61, of Roanoke died Friday, July 15, 2016, in Lena, La. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Lloyd Ray Daniel officiating. Interment will be held in Truscott Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Visitation: was Tuesday in the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers: Mark Baker, Randy Tawater, Dakota Tawater, Brett Burton, Art Hammonds and Sawyer Smith. Memorials: May be made to Truscott Cemetery Association, 11317 Hwy. 6 North, Crowell, Texas, 79227. Johnie was born Thursday, April 14, 1955, in Foard County. He was the son of Roy C. Daniel and Joan (JoAnn) Greening Daniel. He married Janet Kubicek on Sept. 11, 1976, in Vernon. He was raised on Alexander Ranch in Truscott and was a graduate of Crowell High School in 1973; he was an active in 4-H and FFA. He joined the Perot organization in 1978, 28 years active in commercial real estate and as a landman most of his life. He was preceded in death by his son, Tye Weston Daniel, on Aug. 28, 2013. Survivors: His parents, Roy C. and Joan (JoAnn) Daniel of Truscott; wife, Janet Daniel of the home; daughter, Lindsey Marie Landry and husband, Kyle, of Prairieville, La.; grandson, Landon Weston Daniel; daughter-in-law, Sarah Daniel; brothers, Jimmy J. Daniel of Paducah and Jackie W. Daniel of Frisco; sisters, Bernadette White of Vernon and Brenda D. Dennis of Sachse; numerous nieces and nephews.
