I know that Coach Williams had such a huge impact on so many people, especially all of his students and players over the years. He was certainly a special human being that God gifted all of us with in our lives. As a member of the McCarthy Family, I send our condolences and prayers to all of Coach's family. He was a legendary man, yet very humble. He possessed a wonderful heart and a beautiful soul.

What a Great Man!!!! I had the opportunity to run Track for Coach Williams at MHS in 1983 & 1984. I have never met a man with more patience in my life.

Sad to hear of coach Williams passing. He was one of my football coaches back at Midland High back in the 80s. He was liked by everyone who ever played for him. He was a genuinely nice guy who cared for his players and students. Thoughts and prayers to his equally awesome wife and the rest of his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. This was a special man. I went to Lamar from 1994-1997. He was at all of my games and track meets. He would hold my blanket that I used to keep my leg warm late in the season when it was cold and give it to me on the sidelines. He was always there to help, to serve and teach. His impact on this world will be missed.
