Jonathan (Eric) Pence BEDFORD -- Jonathan (Eric) Pence, 52, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. SERVICE: Thursday, February 21 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Hurst. The church is located at 521 W. Pipeline Road, Hurst, Texas 76053. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in Eric's memory. Eric was born on May 10, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Euless, Texas and graduated from Trinity High School and attended UTA. Eric was a dedicated and devoted husband, father, son and dog dad to his five dogs, Sonora, Zoey, Chessie, Gus and Dixie. Some might say that he loved dogs more than people. As an active member of the Texas Bow Hunters Association, Eric was an avid hunter and nature lover. He cherished sunrises, sunsets and time away with his family at the deer lease. Eric was an avid reader and book collector; his personal library included wall to wall books that he read over and over again. He loved reading about the expansive Texas history and collecting antiques such as signs, books and anything vintage. Eric was passionate about coaching his children in youth football and baseball. He treasured every accomplishment and success that his boys had on and off the field. He strived to be the best role model for his sons, teaching them to never settle for less. He was a long term Production Manager at Allgoods in Arlington, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Pence and grandparents Estelene and Mitchell Rogers. SURVIVORS: Eric is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Kelly; his two sons, Austin (20) and Tyler (18); mother, Patsy; his two brothers, Mitch and wife, Mary, Mark and wife, Tina; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
