Judith Anderson Obituary

Judith Anderson

December 4, 1939 - October 23, 2025

Southlake, Texas - Judith (Judy) Anderson, affectionately known as "Granny," passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2025. At the remarkable age of 85, she left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a profound impact on countless lives.

Born on December 4, 1939, in Stephenville, Texas, to Joyce Moser Barham (Lindley) and Harwood D. Barham, Judy grew up in her beloved hometown and graduated from Stephenville High School. Judy was a cherished psychologist, a dear friend, and a respected colleague, leaving behind an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Judy and Arnold Anderson first met at Stephenville High School. They later met again at Texas Tech University and got married on April 21, 1962. Their biggest joy came in 1967 when they adopted their daughter, Tessa. The Anderson family lived in Arlington for many years. Judy was very involved in the community, both socially and professionally. She was president of the Junior Woman's Club, on the board of directors for the YMCA and Arlington Girls Club, and a member of the PTA. She even co-wrote a book called *Things To Do and Places To Go in Arlington* The Anderson family stayed active in the community for more than 40 years. Sadly, Arnold passed away on January 18, 2011, after 48 years of marriage. Judy was strong and loving during this difficult time for her family. A few years later, Judy met Dr. Ted Sisco, and they married on November 9, 2019. They both loved to travel and eat out. As Ted's health declined, Judy was always there for him. He passed away on October 28, 2020, which was another tough time for Judy. But she remained caring, strong, and loving.

God blessed Judy with a wonderful, full life of 85 years. All of us who knew her are so lucky to have had her in our lives.

Judy Anderson, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, leaves behind her daughter, Tessa Anderson; son-in-law, Fred Ghali; grandchildren, Blake Ghali and Grant Ghali; and dear friends Sandy Sullivan and her late husband, Bill Sullivan. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Moser Barham Lindley and Harwood D. Barham; stepfather, Ray B. Lindley; her late husband, Arnold Anderson; and her late husband, Ted Sisco.

Visitation will be held at Wade Funeral Home (4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013) on Friday, November 7, from 4 6 p.m. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10 a.m., at the same funeral home. Following the services, Judy will be laid to rest in Stephenville, TX, next to her late husband, Arnold Anderson; her mother, Joyce "Doodle" Lindley; and stepfather, Ray B. Lindley.
