Judy Winstead Obituary

Judy Winstead, 68, died Saturday, July 21, 2012. Service: Private at a later date. Memorial visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Tin Top Community Center Restoration Project, Plains Capital Bank. Mail donations to 606 Southland Weatherford, Texas 76086. Mrs. Winstead was born Jan. 12, 1944, to C.V. "Jack" and Margaret Rhoten in Fort Worth. Judy graduated from Weatherford High School in 1962 and attended North Texas State University. She worked at Mutual Building and Loan for 17 years and retired from Weatherford College in 2010, after 19 years of service. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, C.V. "Jack" and Margaret Rhoten. Survivors: Husband, Fred Winstead; daughter, Dena Dawson and her daughter, Julia Dawson, of Houston; sisters, Carolyn Glenn and husband, Bob, of Weatherford, Jackie Rhoten of Azle; brother, James Rhoten and wife, Jane Ann, of Jacksboro; sisters-in-law, Margie K. Crow and Margie Ann Winstead; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins; and special family, Tiny Manning.

I am Dena's friend from college. So sorry for your loss, but grateful that Judy is no longer suffering. I know she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.
