Karen was loved and prayed for by many. Her family in Hong Kong and Myanmar will continue to pray for you. May God comfort you and may you be sure of His accompaniment. So pleased that we will see her again and that she is currently enjoying Jesus, her earthly daddy David and Chip. Thankful we will all meet again.
And yet we will miss her so.

I met Karen in 1981 back in Albuquerque at Eastern Hills Baptist Church. The Darsey family took my sister Shawn and me under their wings, and I'll always be grateful for that. Karen was a year older than I, and I remember her grace, intelligence, and kindness in high school.
My heart goes out to your family with extra hugs to Karen and Brent's children. Moms are certainly special.

To Judy , Karens mom. Paul and I are deeply sorry to know of your loss and we pray for you, Brent and the children. I never had the chance to meet Karen, but after reading the obituary, I wish I would have had the chance. She was a very accomplished woman ,but the most accomplishment was knowing her Lord and Savior , whom she is now in the presence of. God give you all peace and comfort in the coming days. Love and prayers from Paul and Linda Mader.

For that we can smile, and know that she is happy with the Lord! So sorry to all of you for your loss. Thinking and praying for each of you. Love, Shirley and John Murray, Cadiz, Ohio

So sorry to hear of Karen's passing...too young, too soon. Death leaves a heartache no on can heal, caring leaves a memory no one can steal. When someone you care for and respect becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Karen will always have a special place in our hearts.

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I have walked in these shoes years ago and I assure you that as hard as days can seem, remember that the love that you and Karen shared will always be in your heart. Cherish the beautiful moments that you had with her and it is okay to share them with others. It keeps her spirit alive.

It is wonderful to know that you mother/wife/daughter was so beloved by so many. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Karen always had a smile on her sweet face. She and my daughter, Kristi, were together in high school as well as in the youth group at our church. Kristi has fond memories of Karen. Hopefully, she will share some of them in the guest book.
My prayers have been with the family and will continue to be as you gather the strength to go on without your loved one. She will always be with you. God bless all of you and know that you are loved by many people even ones you do not know.

To my beloved Baby Cousin (the only one younger than me!). A friend, my companion at family gatherings so long ago, a frequent smile at the memory of times gone by, and recently such a source of inspiration. I Love You and will miss you, although your presence will be felt evermore. We were so lucky to have had you, but for far too short a time. My family's prayers are with Aunt Judy, Brent and the children.

I am so incredibly sorry for your family's grief. I can only imagine this kind of loss... Karen wouldn't have known - because we've not been in touch for over 30 years - that I, too am in the cancer fraternity.
I remember her as a 12 year old in my church youth group. She and I went for a run up in the Manzano Mountains near Camp Inlow one morning. We got completely lost - for maybe an hour - until we heard in the distance from camp a recording of the trumpet call. We ran to the sound - safely back to camp.
Karen - I will meet you in heaven where we will be completely healed - we'll run again.
Well done comrade. Much love and grace to your family.

Praying for Karen's family. She was so warm & welcoming to us as a new family when we moved here to Kingwood. Karen was able to get my son, Camden, up & moving in the 7th grade @ RMS even in the middle of the year. She was a true symbol of inspiration for many of us. She will be remembered & thought of often.

I served as Karen's principal at Kings Manor Elementary. Even though she only taught there one year, I felt that I had known her much longer. She had such an impact on everyone that she came in contact with. Her life was a blessing to those that knew her. She will be missed, but she is pain free and has an eternal smile!

Karen was the first kind face to greet and help our son when we moved here his 7th grade year. His schedule was messed up so he spent most of his first morning in her office. He knew immediately of her sincerity towards him. What he later learned to love most about her, was not only did she always know and care about him, but she knew every student's name and genuinely cared about who they were, beyond just faces in the halls. She has touched lives and left a legacy of love threaded deeply into all who knew her.
