My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Mrs. Teel was a wonderful person. She was kind, thoughtful and a beautiful dancer.
As my Saltaltrix dance teacher at Eastwood High School in the late 70s, she encouraged me to try to do better and taught me that with hard work, comes great reward. She was always good humored, even with the hard to reach students in our class. Whether it was during our stretches or choreography, she taught us that with a little patience and endurance, we could reach our goal...an enjoyable performance. Her approach was really one big lesson on building character.
As one of my favorite teachers, Mrs. Teel was something special and will be missed.

My prayers are with your family. Mrs. Teel was a great teacher, mentor, and dancer. Her love of dance was infectious and she passed it on to all of her students. She always expected the best from all of her students at Eastwood and she was Saltatrix. I greatly admired and respected her. May God bless you.

Sorry we had not kept in touch since I moved to the Pacific Northwest right after YHS graduation, but Kathy and I go back to Ysleta Grade School. My heart goes out to all her family in their loss. We can take comfort in knowing she is at peace at last.

To Mrs. Teel's Family, my greatest and sincerest condolences. She was a woman of Great Spirit that was infectious. She was my dance teacher at Hanks High School, she was the reason to get up and go to school everyday. She pushed me hard and expected nothing less than perfection from us girls. I have carried that lesson in my life ever since. I am truly saddened that she is gone but the lives she touched was amazing. She was a beautiful lady, a mentor, a teacher and her soul's fire set me ablaze. I will truly miss her.

To Mrs. Teel's family...how sorry I am that you have to endure such a loss. She was a very important person in my life in high school at Hanks. She pushed me to do the best that I could in dance class. Silhouettes was superb during her time. As I take my daughter to dance class I still hear her words and see her moves as I watch the instructors teach. No one compares! Again my deepest sympathy!

My condolences to Mrs. Teel's family. She was my dance instructor at Hanks High School from 1990-1992. Dance class was always my favorite class of the day because of her. I have always thought about her and wished her well. She was an exceptional woman and dancer. God bless those she left behind as she will be missed.

Dear Sharmon,
My deepest condolenses to you and your loved ones.
It seems like just yesterday when I would stay over on a Friday nite and we would get up on a Saturday morning and your Mother would be exercising in her bedroom getting ready to start the day. It's been years since we have spoken but I had great times at your house and when I pass by I still remember my grandfather dropping me off. My prayers will be with you and your family.

My love and heart felt sympathy to Mrs. Teel's(Kathy's) family. Kathy was my teacher, mentor, and friend. I have so much respect for her that I could hardly bring myself to call her "Kathy" even after years of teaching myself. She helped and supported me through some really rough times and always selflessly helped others. Her contributions of knowledge, creativity, and love of dance have touched so many of us! It was an honor to have known her, danced with her, and she will always be remembered for the gifts of herself she shared with us all! Thank you Kathy!

Mr. Teel, Bill and Sharmon -- as you know, if I have done anything worthwhile with my life, it was largely due to your mother's love and guidance during high school. I am so grateful for the many things she taught me, the encouragement she provided me and the many blessings she brought to my life. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to give a little of that back to her. Know of her pride in you, Billy and Sharmon, and her unquestioned and unquestioning love for you. She IS a great woman and is now among our patron saints. Know that I am with you in your sorrow. Be in touch.

Kathy, your beauty and kindness will always be remembered. Thank you for laughing with me and sharing my tears. You took me under your wing and always defended me...with of course a peridiodic scolding . I love you for teaching me how to love unlovable students and smile at confused administrators. You were a brilliant dance teacher. I am honored to have known you. God bless you and your family.
