Mansfield , Texas - Kathy Pressley Cooley of Mansfield went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2023. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1975, received a BA in English from The University of Texas Arlington, and a Master's in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and others. She spent 29 years as an educator at Mansfield High School. First, a dedicated High School English teacher, then a loving counselor. She retired from TCC-SE. She married the love of her life, David Cooley on October 7, 2005. Kathy loved her family and friends with her whole heart.
She is preceded in death by her loving grandparents and her beloved niece Alexa Pressley. She is survived by her loving husband David, daughters Kelley Holik and Katie Brown. Parents Kenneth and Loretta Pressley, brother Keith Pressley (Jackie), brother in law Bobby Cooley (Lisa), nieces Kristin Pressley and Deana Gresham, as well as grandsons Tyson Holik, Mason Holik, Colton Holik, Weston Holik and Carson Brown, who were her whole heart.
The family has entrusted services to Blessing Funeral in Mansfield. A visitation will be held Friday July 7th from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Blessing Chapel with a graveside service immediately following at Mansfield Cemetery.
