Kelley graduated from Popular Bluff High School in 1961. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Central Methodist College MO in 1966 and continued on to the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Master's degree from the Wharton School of Business. His early career included marketing for General Foods and other positions with Anheuser-Bush and Ralston Purina. Kelley then worked in the banking industry in Colorado for several years before moving to Texas in the early 1980s. He graduated from the Colorado College for Financial Planning in 1998 and was confirmed as a Certified Financial Planner by the Board of Standards. Kelley acquired Capitol West Securities in 2010, later to become Capitol West Financial Advisors. He was very active in the Keller Rotary Club, serving as president 2006-2007 and received the coveted Paul Harris Fellow award from Rotary International.
Kelley's faith and love for family over-shadowed all other interests. His commitment led him to serve for 15 years as an elder of both The Southlake Church of Christ and also The Hills church. He remained very active in teaching until just before his death. In their efforts to share the Word of God, he and Pat traveled to a number of countries serving in the Let's Start Talking ministry. Kelley loved history and travel and investigated every detail of any destination.
A memorial Celebration is scheduled for March 27th at 2pm at The Hills church in Southlake.

I have just heard of Kelly's passing. He was a good friend in high school and was always thoughtful and concerned about others. I would say that he was indeed a blessing to all who knew him. RIP, Kelly. You will be missed.

Kelley has gone on to be with his heavenly father, but will be so missed here on earth. He was the best boss I ever had. A true gentle giant with a big heart. He was one of the kindest people I know. Rest in peace, Kelley. I know I'll see you in heaven one day.
