Kenneth Menees Obituary

Kenneth Andrew Menees, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2002.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas. Visitation: was Thursday at Goen-Hudgens Funeral Home.

Memorials: Christian Community Action of The Colony, 200 South Mill St., Lewisville, Texas 75057.

Kenneth Andrew Menees was born June 12, 1930, in Muskogee, Okla., to Lela and Andrew Menees. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired as an accomplished aircraft maintenance technician from Braniff/Dalfort Corporation. A gifted athlete, Kenneth Menees enjoyed sports as a spectator and participant.

A loving dad, grandfather, brother and uncle, Kenneth will be remembered for his generosity, his sense of humor and his devotion to his family and friends. Heaven has received an angel.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Journey Menees; his parents; and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Menees, Emma Lou Chiles and Lois Dedman.

Survivors: Daughters, Nikki Menees and Vickie Pinney of Cottonwood, Ariz.; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Frances Menees of The Colony; grandchildren, Jeanie and Craig Bernier of Denton, Billy Sciscoe of Corpus Christi and Mary Helen Menees of The Colony; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Alexander Bernier; brother, Ralph and Menees of Dearing, Ga.; sisters, Lola Lasis of Coleman and Ruby Franklin of Dallas; and numerous other family members and friends.
