Leamon Gannaway Keele Jr.

Leamon Gannaway Keele, Jr., 85, longtime evangelist and retired Air Force master sergeant, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Service: 1 p.m. Monday at College Hill Church of Christ, 7447 College Circle North, North Richland Hills. Interment: Fairview Cemetery, Denison. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Memorials: Memorials may be made to World Bible School. Leamon served as a volunteer chaplain at UT Hospital in Tyler for 16 years. Leamon was preceded in death by his parents, Leamon G. Keeke Sr. and Alta Mae Howell Keele; his former wife, Jean Marshall; and two brothers, Howell and Asa Keele. Survivors: His loving wife, Edith Keele; sister, Gene Holmes; brother, Dr. Bill Keele; children, Linda Stevens and husband, Gary, Larry Keele and wife, Janet, Leonard Keele and wife, Kathy, Les Keele and wife, Deatra, Becky and C.B. Subrahmanyam; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
