Leo Henderson Obituary

Leo F. Henderson, 88, beloved father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Leo F. Henderson was born Jan 18, 1914, in Morgan Mill, to John and Mollie Henderson. He and his family farmed in Childress for many years and during the Depression, he spent several years in California, where he had many interesting adventures. He married Pauline Harris of Ennis in 1943. She preceded him in death in 1984. After his discharge from the Army, he worked in the aircraft industry until his retirement in 1979. He had been a resident of White Settlement since 1947 and a member of Grace Baptist Church for many years.

He spent his years of retirement doing lawn mower repair and on the lake fishing with his buddies. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Survivors: Son, Donald Henderson and wife, Pat of Benbrook; daughter, Paula Rodgers of Bedford; brother, Burl Henderson of Topeka, Kan.; grandchildren, Jerry Henderson of Galveston, Amy Smith and husband, Grant of Durham, N.C. and Andrew Jenkins of Bedford; great-grandson, Brandon Ruybal of Haslet.
