Lexie Haney Obituary

Lexie Mildred Haney, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Jan. 9, 2004.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Briar Church of Christ, with Kenton Harvey and Ted Horn officiating. Burial: Pope Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home.

Memorials: Christ's Haven for Children, 4150 Keller-Haslet Road, Keller 76248.

Mildred was born near Azle Jan. 4, 1912, the oldest daughter of "Bud" and Lee Moran. She graduated from North Side High School and attended Texas Woman's University. Mildred worked at Convair during World War II and retired from Tracor. Her best times were spent with her family and in her beautiful gardens. She was preceded in death by husband, Arvel Haney and sister, Ruth Moran.

Survivors: Children, Alice Brown Waggoner of Decatur, James R. Haney and wife, Joan of Azle, Wayne Haney and wife, June of Southlake, Lynn R. Haney and wife, Briggett of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Haney. She was such a sweet person and I will very much miss seeing her every week at the bank. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jennifer
