Lloyd Walling Obituary
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rutledge-Jones Funeral Home, 118 2nd Street, Hico.
Lloyd was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Kerens. He served in the U.S. Navy, where he met and married in 1954 his beloved wife, Lillian Bousselot, a lieutenant nurse. He retired in 1989, after a 30-year career as a control operator for Texas Electric Service Company. Lloyd moved to Hico in 1992, to continue his enjoyment of hunting, fishing, gardening, and caring for his land and cattle he loved. Our hearts will not only miss his loving, honest and witty demeanor, we will dearly miss his incredible talent of singing and playing the guitar.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; parents, Ira and Luna Walling; sisters, Mae Delle Miller, Dessa Hudson and brother, Alva Lee Walling.
Survivors: Son, Curtis Walling and wife, Ronda, of Corsicana; daughters, Beth King and husband, Vince, of Hurst, Patrice Dugger and husband, Dewayne, of Willow Park, Denise Doggett and husband, Rick, of Colleyville, Donna Wade and husband, Doug, of Flower Mound, Lisa Hutchison and husband, Jeff, of Bedford; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Sybil Spain and Sue Knowlden; many nieces and nephews; and companion and friend, VonDell Rogers and family.

I am praying for peace and comfort for the entire family. Your Dad loved you kids so very much. You all have so many fond memories to have and cherish and these will get you through these trying times. I loved Ray very much and have been blessed to be a part of your family over the years. Your Dad is just the newest addition to heaven and will be your guardian angel. Ann and Mamie can't be at the services they wanted to send their love and prayers to you all. Heaven is surely richer with Ray's presence. My love to all and special love to Patrice. Cindy, Lawrence, Thurman, Mamie, Sonny and Ann.
